Introducing the new Asterisk Ultra Cell 2.0 with continued ultimate support as in the current Ultra Cell. Asterisk has trimmed down the profile of the liners and made getting in and out of the brace very easy with four snap-in strap liner attachments, also allowing independent adjustment for the best comfort and support. It has EV50 shock absorbent foam padding and offers A.R.C Cuff Adjustable Retention Control multiform for rigid lateral support. Also, there is a built-in anti-rotation connection joined by stainless steel retention strips. Also, the tele-tri patella cup features a telescoping three-piece design, and is easily removable, with high impact nylon six-material.
The brace-to-boot tether attachment helps prevent lower leg rotation, plus the full time, full coverage patella cup offers superior coverage. It also has A.C.M frame anatomically correct design and carbon fiber epoxy matrix for a rigid & lightweight, impact distributing structure. Additionally, the asymmetric-glide hinge tracks the natural “rolling-gliding” motion of the knee joint for better comfortability when riding.
Although many customers have been extremely satisfied with the Ultra Cell with the BOA system, Asterisk felt it necessary to have a lower profile model with a quick-release system available as an option. The Ultra Cell 2.0 transfers forces of a lower leg rotation, while being adjustable to suit each individual. The thermo-formed padding ensures a precise fit, and forms to leg shape using your body heat, with easy cleaning. The undersleeves, which are included with braces are conically tapered cut to match the legs' natural contour. It has added a feature ventilated mesh to promote air flow. Reduces heat build up by wicking moisture away from skin and a flat stitched quad seam.
In addition, it is water resistant and has non-corrosive metals with non-corrosive composites. It has hand washable soft materials and 3.0 liners which keeps the straps placed exactly where you want them, offering comfort and strap control. The A.R.C. Cuff Adjustable Retention Control offers multiform rigid lateral support with built-in anti-rotation connection. It contains stainless steel retention strips and the inverted adjustment increases lateral rigidity.
Asterisk was started by a group of athletes and some motocross riders. The synergy of their extensive backgrounds in the design and use of orthopedic devices helps in improving their product. The motivation behind the formation of the company was to bring state-of-the-art protection and performance-enhancing products directly to the athletes. Asterisk introduced the Cell Knee Protection System as its first product back in April of 2001 to satisfy the need for high-level knee protection. The products were made available directly to athletes at an affordable price.
In may of 2006, Asterisk introduced The Germ Knee Protection System, designed specifically for kids. Paralleling the form, fit, and function of the best orthopedic knee braces, Asterisk's knee protection systems are a giant leap forward in design and affordability.
