The Garmin zumo XT3 motorcycle navigator is a rugged, feature-rich navigation device designed for road, track, and adventure riding. With an IPX7 water rating and MIL-STD-810 drop rating, it is built to handle changing weather, handlebar vibration, and demanding riding environments. Riders can plan routes directly on the device or through the Tread smartphone app, with options to prioritise curves, hills, scenic roads, and varying levels of adventurous routing. Popular moto paths, high-resolution downloadable satellite imagery, GPX/KML/KMZ route imports, track recording, rider alerts, and simple compass navigation support both planned trips and spontaneous exploration. Wi‑Fi connectivity enables map and software updates without a computer.
When paired with a compatible smartphone and the Tread app, the zumo XT3 can provide traffic and weather information, phone notifications, route sharing, group tracking where mobile coverage is available, and ride summaries including lean angle, G-force, and maximum-speed data. It can also support music control and turn-by-turn prompts through a paired phone and headset. Additional capability is available through optional accessories and services, including off-grid communication with a compatible inReach satellite communicator, rear-view and blind-spot monitoring with the zumo R1 Radar system, and a wired handlebar controller. An active Garmin Performance Package is required for drag-race timing and detailed lap-time and race-metric functions, while an active Outdoor Maps+ plan provides access to additional premium off-road mapping content.
