The Garmin zumo XT3 is a rugged motorcycle navigator built for road riding, track use, and adventure touring. Its IPX7 water rating and MIL-STD-810 drop rating are designed to help it withstand wet conditions, vibration, and the demands of handlebar-mounted use. Riders can create routes on the navigator or in the Tread smartphone app, choosing preferences such as curves, hills, scenic byways, and four levels of adventurous routing. It also supports imported GPX, KML, and KMZ routes, popular moto paths, downloadable high-resolution satellite imagery, track recording, rider hazard alerts, and compass-based navigation for more flexible exploration.

With the Tread app and a compatible smartphone, riders can access traffic and weather information, phone notifications, route sharing, group ride tracking where cellular coverage is available, and post-ride summaries showing data such as lean angle, G-force, speed, acceleration, and distance. Music control and turn-by-turn directions can be delivered through a phone-connected headset. Optional accessories and subscriptions extend functionality, including the Garmin Performance Package for drag-race timing and lap metrics, Outdoor Maps+ for premium off-road content, the zumo R1 Radar for rear-view and blind-spot monitoring, compatible inReach satellite communicators for off-grid messaging and SOS capability, and a wired handlebar controller for convenient map control.
